Virginia Council for Mathematics Supervision

Join us for our spring conference

When: March 4th and 5th

Where: Doubletree Hotel in Midlothian, VA

We are so excited to have Kristofer Childs as our keynote speaker!

“If priorities keep shifting and communication keeps collapsing, motivation cannot carry that weight. Performance is not a people problem. It is a design problem.”

On AI….

• “Most educators don't fail at AI because they picked the wrong tool. They fail because they skipped the thinking.

• You don't need a 47-step plan or 8 different AI tools.

• You need a reason, a starting point, and the willingness to stay in it. Play before mastery.

• AI can save you hours on a lesson plan. But it can't see the look on a child's face that tells you today isn't the day. It can't love a child the way you do.

• That judgment is yours. Keep it.

• Intentionality beats complexity, every time.”

“What are you holding people accountable for that your system cannot yet support?”

We are also seeking individuals to facilitate breakout sessions that connect to our meeting theme.  If you are interested in presenting for a breakout session, please fill out this Google Form (link to come) no later than January 31, 2027.
